The formation of the day also wanted to highlight the amount of sexual slavery that children are forced to partake in and find ways to put an end to such heinous practices.

*Most children work on farms that produce consumer products such as cocoa, coffee, cotton, rubber and other crops.
*20 million child workers are employed in factories that make garments, carpets, toys, matches, and hand-rolled cigarettes.

12 June marks the World Day Against Child Labour under the theme “Universal Social Protection to End Child Labour.”
The theme for the celebration of this year’s World Day Against Child Labour will revolve around the topic of “Universal Social Protection to End Child Labour.” According to ILO, as an economic consequence, the coronavirus pandemic is gonna have a huge negative impact on the livelihood of people. Unfortunately in such situations, many children around the world have to suffer a great deal.
There is a good enough possibility that the crisis will push millions of vulnerable children worldwide into child labor.
