“Mattye Whytte Woolridge” was the person responsible for the imitation of this day. She wrote letters to Eleanor Roosevelt to start a day to honor the teacher. Eleanor Roosevelt thought it was a worthy cause to celebrate and due to her effort after 27 years of the year of 1980, National Education Association (NEA) formed the national teacher appreciation week from then onwards.

How to Celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week 2023?
There are plenty of ways you can celebrate the week. Some of the ways that can be followed are as follows-
Gifts:
You can celebrate the week by sending those gifts of diverse types. There is nobody in this world who doesn’t like gifts. You can create customized gifts for your teachers according to their preferences. Or simply choose random gifts and give them on this day. They would surely love to get gifts over the week.
Letter from the students:
Students can write heartfelt letters to their teachers on this day.
